Drive off the end of the expressway (don’t take any exits). This will feed you onto County Road 58. After a few miles you will come to a large traffic circle. Go straight through to the road at your 12 o’clock position. Stay on this road for about 30 minutes of driving until you see signs about entering Greenport. At the first stoplight turn right. Travel 7.1 miles to a blinking yellow traffic light. At the light, turn left onto Main Street (towards Greenport). Go 0.9 miles on Main St. and turn right onto Front Street. At the traffic light (0.2 miles from Front St.) turn left onto Third Street. You’ll see the entrance for the ferry line on your right at the end of Third Street. Continued below ...     On Shelter Island from the Ferry North Ferry - from Greenport While on the ferry, reset your odometer’s trip meter to “0.0”. When you exit the ferry you are on Rte 114 heading SOUTH. Staying on Rte 114, at 0.4 miles turn left after the Shelter Island Pharmacy to continue on Route 114 South. At 1.6 miles, an IGA Supermarket is on your right. Rte 114 will turn to the right but you will continue straight onto Manwaring Road. At 2.0 miles you will come to a traffic circle – go around the circle to the road that’s at your 11 o’clock position onto Ram Island Road. Whales Tales mini-golf should be on your left as you pass it. At 2.4 miles take a right onto Cartwright Road. After going through some “S” turns at 2.8 miles our shop will be on your left. It’s a gray metal pre-fab building with a dark blue roof. South Ferry - from Sag Harbor When you arrive on Shelter Island go straight on Route 114. 1.4 miles from the ferry. You will come to a small traffic circle. Go straight through the circle, which will put you on Cartwright Road. The shop (large gray metal building with a dark blue roof) is 1.1 miles from the traffic circle on your right. If you end up at a stop sign you have gone too far.
